The Great Hall
With its impressive chandeliers, stained glass windows, spectacular barrel vaulted ceiling and the grand Willis Organ, there are few venues in the city so rich in history & grandeur.
With 720m2 of floor space, the Hall can accommodate 800 conference delegates or 600 guests for dinner, providing the perfect backdrop to business events of scale and prestige.
The Concert Room
Breathtakingly beautiful, the circular Concert Room, decorated in soft tones of cream and gold, can accommodate up to 500 guests and offers a unique space for theatre style events.
An opulent crystal chandelier, walls lined with Goddess-like statues and angelic cherubs greet your delegates whilst Ravenhead glass mirrors create stunning reflections around the featured stage, a perfect space for a guest speaker or performance to take place.
Charles Dickens gave many readings on the stage and declared it to be ‘the most perfect room in the world.’ Originally designed to accommodate an orchestra, it has excellent acoustics with Artists such as opera singer Lesley Garret, comedians Romesh Ranganathan and Paul Chowdry, all having performed here.
The Concert Room was refurbished in 2006, and is now the crowning glory of the Hall; it is also available as a private hire to Promoters, Agents and performers for their own ticketed events.
The Cockerell, Reid and Elmes Rooms are three flexible spaces, located to the West side of The Great Hall and all have magnificent views over St John’s Gardens. They can be set up for additional break out space or for small meetings of up to 80 delegates.
