This exhibition comprises of a unique collection of 100 portraits capturing women in the UK who were “first” in their field of achievement, such as Janice Long (pictured) who was the first woman to have her own daily show on Radio 1. Taken by internationally acclaimed photographer Anita Corbin, they aim to provide inspiration and insight for a new generation of women seeking an understanding of their own roles in a rapidly changing world in which equality is still an issue.
This event is FREE to enter and can be accessed via the Visitor Entrance on the south-side of St George’s Hall (via St John’s Lane).
10:00 – 17:00, Monday to Saturday (last entrance is at 16:30, and the exhibition is closed on Sundays and Bank Holidays).
Please note: The exhibition will be privately launched on Tuesday 18 June, before opening to the public on Wednesday 19 June until Saturday 31 August 2019.
